Latina Writers Conference 2023

Join us on August 6th at Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center to celebrate our Latina writing community!

The Latina Writers Conference includes nine events produced throughout Southern California from Sunday, July 30, 2023 through Saturday, August 5, 2023. The conference will culminate with an afternoon of celebration on Sunday August 6, 2023 from 3pm-8pm at Plaza de la Raza.  Join us at Plaza for an afternoon of roundtable conversations, exhibitions, vendors, awards, and dancing!

The event will include three roundtable discussions centering Latina Writers and you'll want to stay after the discussions for a special performance by Maria de la Ghetto and the Chulita Vinyl Club will be spinning tunes to dance! We'll also have plenty of vendors, so bring your cash! The Latino Arts Network and Latina Writers Conference committee will be presenting the 2023 Maestra Award to the one and only author, community educator, bookstore owner, curator, and performance ethnographer Sarah Rafael García!
